Australia Bringing Hope is a development and relief organisation set up in developing countries, currently working in Uganda.
A.B.H. wishes to encourage Australians to help people in remote Uganda to improve their lives. A.B.H. works in areas of education, health, income generation, housing, and orphan and widow support. ABH hopes to encourage Australians to travel to Uganda on mission trips, to help in all the above areas and to share the hope of Jesus Christ. ABH has people in the field in Uganda to guide and direct Australian as well as ensure that all funds donated are used for the cause as directed and that the local people are held accountable.
ABH is involved in a number of projects as well as a number of local organisations. Projects include:
1) Bee keeping, training, honey production, research and development.
2) Education: helping local, remote schools with funding for building, desks, blackboards and teachers wages.
3) Health: ABH is seeking funding for local hospitals and medical Centres so they can continue to provide basic care and also improve their facilities.
4) Emergency Health care: ABH hope to find funding for people, often found in remote villages who need urgent care or need better medical facilities only found in Kampala. Many people suffer or die, simply because of lack of funding, which may be as little as $100.
5) Income generation: ABH is looking at ways people can improve their income by better training, access to better equipment or improved marketing for their products.
6) ABH is always looking at new ways of how to empower and equip people.
